Laksasubha Hua Hin

As the location of the King of Thailand’s summer palace, Klai Kangwon or ‘Far from Worries’, the beautiful beach town of Hua Hin has a special place in the hearts of all Thais.

In the early 1920s, during the reign of King Rama VI, the Royal State Railways of Siam laid track to Hua Hin, and the town soon blossomed into the country’s first resort and the favoured holiday destination of Thai nobility. Built in 1929, the palace was influenced by the Spanish architecture of the time and infused with elements of traditional Thai style to create aesthetic unique to Hua Hin.

The land on which Laksasubha Hua Hin Resort sits was the home of HRH Prince Krisda Bhiniharn Krom Phra Naresra Varariddhi, the grandfather of the present owner, M.L. Laksasubha Kridakon. She recalls idyllic summers and weekends spent here as a child, enchanted by her grandfather’s house, the tropical gardens and beachfront setting. As the guardian of the land, M.L. Laksasubha’s wish was to share her treasured memories by creating a luxurious retreat that reflects her royal heritage and the beauty of Hua Hin.

Laksasubha Hua Hin Resort opened in December 2007 and over the years M.L. Laksasubha’s concept has been honed to perfection. The owner’s personal vision for a unique retreat where guests’ lives are enriched by Thainess, elegance and peace has been realised through a heartfelt passion for her cultural heritage and exquisite attention to detail.
