Join Our Award-Winning Team at L’Arôme by the Sea – Now Hiring: Sommelier
L’Arôme by the Sea, a Michelin-selected contemporary European fine dining destination in Phuket, is seeking a passionate and highly skilled Sommelier to elevate our guests’ dining experience through exceptional wine service and expertise.
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of professional sommelier experience in hospitality, ideally in a Michelin-starred or fine dining environment
• In-depth knowledge of wine production, regions, vintages, and food & wine pairing principles
• Proven ability to curate and manage a high-end wine program
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and fluent professional English (additional languages are an advantage)
• WSET Level 2 or higher (or equivalent) preferred
Responsibilities
• Provide expert wine recommendations to enhance the guest experience
• Oversee the wine program: selection, inventory management, pricing strategy, and cost control
• Ensure wine service standards are consistently aligned with the restaurant’s Michelin-level expectations
• Collaborate closely with the culinary and service teams to deliver seamless dining experiences
• Conduct staff wine training and foster a culture of wine knowledge within the team
• Maintain supplier relationships and keep the wine list fresh, relevant, and exciting
