CHIEF ENGINEER

ROLE DESCRIPTION
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Chief Engineer to lead and manage all engineering operations and maintenance activities of the resort. You will ensure the safety, functionality, and efficiency of all hotel facilities, equipment, and systems while supporting our sustainability goals and delivering exceptional guest satisfaction.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead and manage the Engineering Department, including planning, assigning, and reviewing work.

- Ensure the proper operation and maintenance of all building systems, equipment, and utilities.

- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment performance and lifespan. Plan, manage, and monitor engineering projects, renovations, and capital improvements.

- Monitor energy and water consumption and implement cost-saving and sustainability initiatives.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, fire, and environmental regulations.

- Prepare and manage the engineering budget and control costs effectively.

- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency situations.

- Conduct regular inspections and ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and functionality.
Train, develop, and motivate the engineering team.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation.

- Liaise with external contractors, suppliers, and government authorities as required.

- PREVENTIVE SYSTEMS & MAINTENANCE EQUIPMENT QUALIFICATIONS


Bachelor's degree in Engineering
(Mechanical, Electrical, or related field).

ㆍ Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar
Chief Engineer or Engineering Manager role
in a hotel or resort.
ㆍ Strong knowledge of building systems,
HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and engineering operations.
ㆍ Experience in managing projects,
budgets, and cost control.
ㆍ Knowledge of energy management
and sustainability practices.
Good leadership, communication,
and problem-solving skills.
Hands-on, service-minded, and proactive.
ㆍ Good command of English.
