We are looking for passionate and skilled chefs to join our team in delivering an exceptional omakase and sushi experience. If you have a deep respect for Japanese cuisine and a dedication to excellence, we invite you to apply for the following positions:
Japanese Sous Chef
Responsibilities:
Assist the Head Chef in overseeing the kitchen operations of Tomi Sushi & Omakase.
Ensure the highest quality of sushi and Japanese dishes, following traditional techniques and standards.
Manage mise en place, kitchen organization, and stock control.
Train and mentor junior chefs to maintain consistency and quality.
Maintain strict hygiene and food safety standards.
Work closely with suppliers to source premium ingredients.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Sous Chef in a high-end Japanese restaurant or omakase setting.
Expertise in sushi, sashimi, and traditional Japanese cooking techniques.
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of Japanese ingredients, fish cutting, and rice preparation.
Proficiency in English; Japanese language skills are a plus.
