- Provide consistent 1:1 support for a Pre-K pupil to access, engage in, and move safely through play-based learning activities.
- Offer attentive supervision during free play, transitions, and outdoor learning.
- Use calm prompts, visual supports, and co-regulation strategies to guide the pupil and facilitate a swift return to task when needed.
- Prepare and implement simple visual tools such as now/next boards, first/then boards, and choice boards.
- Reinforce classroom routines with warmth, patience, and consistency.
- Record brief, factual observations and share relevant information with the teaching team.
- Uphold safeguarding policies and maintain professional conduct at all times.
- Work collaboratively and closely with the Pre-K Teacher, SEN Teacher, and Kindergarten Coordinator.
