About the Role

As Senior Assistant HR Manager at RIU Palace Phuket, you will play a crucial role in the pre-opening team of our new resort, contributing to delivering an exceptional team experience from day one. This role is ideal for a passionate and enthusiastic human resources professional with strong interpersonal skills, a keen understanding of labor legislation, and a deep commitment to developing team members.



What You’ll Do

Support the implementation of all human resources processes and policies for the new hotel, from recruitment and onboarding to training and performance management.
Manage and oversee the full recruitment process, from job postings, candidate sourcing, and interviewing to selecting the best talent for each department.
Provide guidance and support to department heads and supervisors on employment legislation, discipline, conflict resolution, and workplace policy implementation.
Manage and coordinate administrative tasks related to employment, benefits, payroll, and health care plans for team members.
Assist in the processing and administration of work permits and visas for international team members.
Prepare analyses and reports such as labor cost reports, retention metrics, or training participation.
Lead team engagement activities and propose creative initiatives to celebrate team spirit and foster a strong, cohesive workplace community.


✔️ What We’re Looking For

At least 5 years of relevant human resources experience, preferably within the hotel or tourism industry.
Skills: Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills; a deep understanding of employment legislation and practices; ability to handle sensitive information with discretion; a team-oriented approach; and a passion for developing talent.
Education/Certifications: Degree in Human Resources or related discipline (desired but not essential).
Fluent in English (additional languages are a plus).
