Job Summary

The Pool Attendant is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and overall presentation of the swimming pool and surrounding areas while delivering exceptional service to guests in accordance with Clinique La Prairie Phuket's luxury hospitality and wellness standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Guest Service

Welcome guests warmly and provide attentive, professional service.

Assist guests with pool facilities, towels, sun loungers, and other amenities.

Ensure sun loungers, umbrellas, and poolside facilities are properly arranged and ready for use.

Respond promptly to guest requests and provide information about pool facilities and services.

Maintain guest privacy, comfort, and satisfaction at all times.

2. Pool Operations & Cleanliness

Maintain the cleanliness and presentation of the swimming pool and surrounding areas.

Arrange and replenish towels, drinking water, and poolside amenities.

Regularly inspect and clean pool furniture, loungers, and equipment.

Ensure pool facilities are prepared before opening and properly maintained throughout operating hours.

Report maintenance issues, damaged equipment, or unsafe conditions to the appropriate department.

3. Health & Safety

Monitor pool activities and remain alert to potential safety hazards.

Ensure guests follow pool safety rules and regulations.

Respond promptly to emergencies in accordance with established procedures and training.

Coordinate with designated lifeguards and emergency response personnel when required.

Report accidents, incidents, or safety concerns immediately.

Assist with monitoring pool water conditions and report abnormalities to the Engineering Team.

4. Teamwork & Coordination

Work closely with the Spa & Wellness, Housekeeping, and Engineering Teams to ensure smooth daily operations.

Support daily opening and closing procedures.

Maintain proper inventory and storage of pool towels, equipment, and supplies.

Participate in departmental briefings and required training sessions.

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or management.

Qualifications & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.

Previous experience as a Pool Attendant or in a luxury hotel, resort, or wellness facility is preferred.

Basic knowledge of swimming pool operations, cleanliness, and safety procedures.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Basic English communication skills; additional languages are an advantage.

Basic First Aid and CPR certification is an advantage.

Ability to swim and assist in emergency situations is preferred.

Physically fit and able to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions.

Willingness to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
