A pool cleaner is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, safety, and chemical balance of swimming pools. Duties include vacuuming pool floors, skimming debris, testing water chemistry, and troubleshooting filtration equipment to prevent bacteria growth and ensure the water is safe for swimming.Key ResponsibilitiesWater Testing & Chemical Balance: Test water for pH, chlorine, and alkalinity levels. Add precise amounts of acid, chlorine, and algaecides to maintain sanitary, safe swimming conditions.Physical Cleaning: Skim water surfaces, vacuum pool floors, and brush walls and tiles to remove debris and prevent algae buildup.Equipment Maintenance: Inspect, troubleshoot, and perform minor repairs on pool pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators. Backwash filtration systems as needed.Deck & Area Upkeep: Clean the surrounding pool deck, remove leaves from adjacent areas, and ensure safety equipment (like rescue hooks and life rings) is in place.Customer Service: Interact with clients, address their concerns, and explain the services performed or recommendations for equipment upgrades.Documentation: Log chemical readings, services rendered, and parts used for each client.
