The Sports Retail Shop Manager is responsible for overseeing a store's daily operations, ensuring it runs smoothly and effectively. The duties include motivating sales teams, creating business strategies, developing promotional material, building supplier relationships, overseeing inventories and stock control, and training new and existing staff on an ongoing basis.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Delivers excellent service to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Motivates the retail team to meet sales objectives by training and mentoring staff.
- Creates business strategies to attract new customers, expand store traffic, and enhance profitability.
- Recruits, interviews, hires and trains new associates according to company standards
- Reviews shop orders, checklists, and other documentation to ensure that the work was performed correctly
- Tracks expenses and oversees the department’s budget.
- Evaluates employee performance and conducts disciplinary actions when necessary
- Assigns tasks to employees based on their skills and training, ensuring that they are working safely and providing feedback to help them improve their performance
- Responds to customer complaints and concerns in a professional manner.
- Ensures store compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Develops and arrange promotional material and in-store displays.
- Prepares detailed reports on buying trends, customer requirements, and profits.
- Undertakes store administration duties such as managing store budgets and updating financial records.
- Monitors inventory levels and orders new items.
- Works on the establishment of the online shop

SALES AND MARKETING
- Works closely with the Director of Business Development to create IN-HOUSE and OUT HOUSE Campaigns to improve sales
- Is involved in the discussion and creation of merchandise articles for the shop
- Joins special events and camps to create a presence with the shop
- Negotiates sponsorship agreements with suppliers for special occasions or/and facilities in cooperation with the Director of Business Development

REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or relevant field preferred.
- A minimum of 3 years experience working in a retail environment, ideally in a managerial role.
- Strong leadership and customer management abilities.
- Customer service-oriented with in-depth knowledge of basic business management processes.
- Excellent Communication Skills in Thai and English.
- Guest-focused: Positive attitude with a genuine passion for guest service.
- Ability to handle internal and external clients with a high degree of tolerance, diplomacy, and tact.
- Available to work on-call, shifts, after hours, over weekends, and on public holidays
- Ability to work independently without direct supervision or cohesively as a team
