Job Description
As a Villa Host, you are the principal ambassador of our Resort, its standards and its values. You are required to maximize and exceed guest’s satisfaction by providing highly personalized, efficient and responsive service with attention to details, and anticipating guest’s needs.
Your role will include the more classic duties of a front office/reception employee, but it won’t be limited to it. You will welcome and check in the guests upon their arrival, assist them with different requests during their stay and coordinate with all the other departments to ensure that their requests are answered in the most professional way. You may be asked to assist the guest to contact a service we do not normally provide, give them suggestions on where to eat in the area, or even accompany them to the shopping mall. As a Villa Host you shall adopt a flexible approach to the guest requests and always do your best to respond in the most hospitable manner.
Qualifications
-Excellent communication skills. You are the voice of the resort
-Fluency in English is a must. Any additional language is an advantage
-A friendly, outgoing behavior, with a service oriented attitude.
-Proactive, resourceful and able to work independently. We work with humans and for humans, and situations are always unique. A problem solving mentality is a must
-Flexible mentality. In a boutique hotel, not every role is specifically assigned to a position. Here are a few examples of shared duties:
- Shuttle driving. We provide free local rides to the guests, you may be asked to be the one accompanying them to the local grocery store.
- In villa food and drink service. In the moments when the food runners are not available, you may be asked to assist our culinary team to serve the orders to the guests in their villa
- Assist the housekeeping department in checking the status of the villa that will be checked in
- Help keeping the area clean after some strong atmospheric event (or when a lot of leaves fall all around the property)
Etc.
